Heading south from Guoxing Temple, a stone-paved path leads directly to the Hulu Cave Scenic Area. This trail was built by Sa Zhenbing, a renowned admiral of the Qing Dynasty, and is locally known as “Sa Gong Ridge”.
Taimu Mountain is located in Fuding City, on the border between Fujian and Zhejiang provinces. It is 118 kilometers south of Wenzhou and 200 kilometers north of Fuzhou, with the Tong-San Expressway and the Wenzhou-Fuzhou Railway passing at its foot, offering convenient transportation. Standing proudly on the coast of the East China Sea, the mountain combines majestic peaks with the adjacent sea, earning it the reputations of “Grand View of Mountains and Sea” and “Fairy Capital on the Sea”. The scenic area covers 24.6 square kilometers, featuring precipitous ridges, grotesque rocks, secluded caverns, and swirling clouds and mist. It is renowned for its four wonders: perilous peaks, strange stones, mystical caves, and dreamlike fog.
